This group of doctors and nurses blew my husband and I away with the treatment I received. I have been from specialist to specialist demanding answers for something I was told was idiopathic and would just be part of my life and that was it. Medicine and check ups forever is what it seemed like life would always be. Being a medical professional myself, I didn’t give up on trying to find answers and aggravated most of my doctors to seek further answers and luckily I was sent to Dr. Hixson. He really took the time with me the first time we met to understand my frustration with my diagnosis and asked questions other hadn’t before. He understood my hesitation of IVR given that I had recently lost my father to a stroke and come to find out he was actually the doctor that tried to save my dad. Dr. Hixson and his staff not only kept me at ease the day of my cerebral venogram but also took care of my husband and almost two year old as well. My husband was scared of what was going to be found and the nurses played with our little one while Dr. Hixson gave us the news that what was really wrong wasn’t idiopathic and was going to be directing me to the care I needed. I absolutely cannot thank this staff enough because they have been the best group of doctors and nurses I’ve ever met and that is saying a lot from someone who works in the laboratory. I will forever be grateful to have had Dr. Hixson as my doctor. While I hope I don’t have to be back at his practice, I know that I will be taken care of if I have to go back.
